ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services B.V. is owned equally by ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Mellon Financial Corporation. The company is overseen by a management board, consisting of senior executives (directors) from both shareholders.

Our head office is located in Amsterdam, with supporting offices in London and Breda, the Netherlands, an office in Frankfurt, as well as Luxembourg, Singapore and Beijing. We employ over staff and have the support of over Mellon GSS staff around the globe.
We are part of the Mellon Group, the fifth largest global custodian measured by assets under custody, administration and management. The company's official name - ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services B.V. -reflects its status as a Dutch-domiciled private limited company, founded on capital commitment from both ABN AMRO and Mellon. Operating with a Dutch banking licence, we are fully regulated by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). In addition our branches in London, Frankfurt and Luxembourg are regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin) and the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) respectively, where mandatory local rules and regulations apply.
Both our shareholders have strong capital backing, and have filed a 403 declaration with the Trade Register of the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce. This declaration means that both parent companies are jointly and severally liable for the contractual obligations of the company. This provides our clients with the strongest protection in the global custody industry.
ABN AMRO Mellon has been assigned an issuer long term rating by Moody's and a rating of (long term) and (short term) by Fitch.
